FINAL Immunization Deadline is Tomorrow, November 22! All Pre-K, Kindergarten, 7th or 11th grade students without updated immunization records will be sent home tomorrow, November 22, until updated records are received. Acceptable records include an updated Form 3231, a Medical Waiver (good for one year), a notarized Religious Waiver, or an appointment card. Please contact your school nurse with any questions or concerns.

A BIG shoutout to Mrs. Cotton and Ms. Elliott’s Pre-K class for wrapping up their exciting unit on the 5 senses in the most creative way-🇵 🇴 🇵 🇨 🇴 🇷 🇳 ! The students got to experience all five senses firsthand: they 𝚂𝙰𝚆 and 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝚁𝙳 the popcorn popping, 𝚃𝙰𝚂𝚃𝙴𝙳 its delicious flavor, 𝚃𝙾𝚄𝙲𝙷𝙴𝙳 its texture, and 𝚂𝙼𝙴𝙻𝙻𝙴𝙳 its mouthwatering aroma. Yesterday, GSCS Superintendent Dr. Simmons had his first Teacher Advisory Council meeting of this school year with all of the 2024-25 School-Level Teachers of the Year. They had great food and conversations about this year's successes so far and the desired successes for the remainder of the year. Wings & Wisdom!

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘉𝘶𝘺 𝘢 3𝘧𝘵. 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘳? 𝐀 𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞!😂📏 Shoutout to Ms. Daniel and Mrs. Court’s 2nd Grade Classes for mastering rulers and yardsticks in the most fun, hands-on way! The scholars measured all kinds of items—even Mrs. Court herself! It’s amazing to see these young learners getting excited about measurement and math skills. Keep up the great work, scholars💛🐻💙

𝙲𝙷𝙴𝙲𝙺 𝙸𝚃 𝙾𝚄𝚃🩹⛑️ Mrs. Oakes’ 1st Grade Class is diving into final ending blends in phonics! The students are practicing words like “wound,” “hand,” and “band-aid” to master these sounds. They even got creative and imagined a “wound” on their “hand” that needed a “band-aid” as part of their lesson! It’s been a fun and interactive way to learn about how words come together. Keep practicing those ending blends at home💙✨💛

𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 𝘏𝘢𝘴 𝘈 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘛𝘰 𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘭✨ Ms. Mack’s 1st Grade Class has been 𝔼𝕏ℙ𝕃𝕆ℝ𝕀ℕ𝔾 the fascinating world of lights and shadows in science. The students have been experimenting with different light sources, discovering how shadows are formed, and observing how they change based on the position of the light. It’s been an 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 journey of 𝒽𝒶𝓃𝒹𝓈-ℴ𝓃 learning, sparking curiosity and wonder about the science of light. Be sure to ask your child what they’ve learned about shadows and how they can change💙💛💙
